Stephanie from Caboolture Community Centre loves to give back to her community in any way she can. Just over a year ago, Stephanie began volunteering at the local Caboolture Historical Village and has now been promoted to working in the café.

Bryan is a hard-working, supported employee at Afford’s Minchinbury Australian Disability Enterprises (ADE.) On the weekends, he loves to get out and explore the community to make new memories. Before Sydney’s lockdown, Bryan visited the Chang Lai Yuan Chinese Gardens in Nurragingy reserve.

SLES Toastmasters club
Flashback to before Sydney’s COVID-19 lockdown. Our SLES Prestons and Ingleburn teams came together to collaborate on the Toastmasters event. It was a fantastic day where trainees could focus on their public speaking skills whilst building their confidence and self-esteem.

For Lurnea Community Centre, Sydney’s current COVID-19 lockdown provided the ultimate opportunity for the team to give the site a well-deserved makeover.
Victoria celebrates Ian’s birthday
Afford residents from supported accommodation and respite sites around Victoria came together for a delicious barbeque to celebrate Ian’s birthday. The Point Cook team initially had to reschedule Ian’s birthday party due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, it turned out to be timed perfectly and gave the residents a chance to connect before another lockdown was announced.
Friends with fur and scales
Angela and Benjamin love creatures of all shapes and sizes, so they were thrilled when their Lifestyle Assistant, Shannan Trimble brought in her pets as an early celebration of ‘bring your pet to work day.’
Sean’s Striking Success
Sean from Narre Warren Supported Accommodation is on a roll with developing his independence and time management skills. After 11 successful years in the local ten pin bowling team, he feels ready to explore new activities on the weekend.

A special gift to Ashfield
Afford’s Ashfield Community Centre has recently installed a swinging leaf chair in their sensory room. The upgrade is thanks to a generous donation from the family of past resident Dominic Triculcio, who sadly passed away in September 2017.
Bonnyrigg open for business
Our Green Valley Community Centre has recently relocated to Bonnyrigg and it has been an exciting and emotional journey for our clients. The modern site will bring new memories and experiences.
